School Trust Lands: The Law of America's Educational Land Trusts

The field's first one-volume legal reference manual: grants, fiduciary duties, standing, accounting, remedies, and reform.

This is a one-volume legal reference for American school-trust law, the first attempt to gather the field in one place for practitioners, researchers, trustees, and careful public advocates.

Its sourcing discipline is part of the book itself. The Library keeps an archive of primary documents and a register of authorities; quotations are checked against the held opinion wherever the archive has it, and unresolved items remain visible as flags rather than being hidden in smooth prose.

The current working-edition Word file is linked below. It is usable for review now, but it is not legal advice and has not yet received complete expert legal review.

How it fits

The legal spine. It lets public-facing books point back to law that has been read against the underlying opinions instead of inherited from field folklore.

This address is the durable Writing Room link for this publication. If the current draft later moves to a long-term home, this page will keep pointing readers to the right place.
