Photographs

Fifteen registered sets, 246 files — the four days of the 2023 Rendezvous, the two markers, the businesses that built the memorial, and two sets that are counted but not shown.

The creator’s own summary: “Photographs are organized by topic and date.” They are, in fifteen folders on his site, and this page is the register of all of them: every file, the day it went up, its size, and a link to his copy. The photographs themselves are large — several are over 20 MB — and most were taken by the people on the trip rather than by him, so the Library lists and links them rather than reproducing them. The few pictures shown anywhere in this series are his own work or long out of copyright, and each is credited where it appears.

File names carry what look like photographers’ surnames. Those are the creator’s file names, printed as he wrote them; the Library has not turned them into attributions.

2 of the fifteen sets are registered, dated and counted but not shown: one is a search for graves, the other is aerial photography of the ground on which they lie. Each keeps its entry and its count.

Aerial photographs of the Smith River mouth, 1939–2002 12 files

Twelve items: eight aerial frames and four scanned index sheets, dated 1939, 1945, 1954, 1968, 1976, 1986, 1994 and 2002. Aerial photography of this ground is how the site was located; the register keeps the entry, the images are not shown here.

Withheld from this edition pending review. The item keeps its place in the register and its permanent link.

On the canine search: the creator’s index records it as the work of “Max, the Cadaver Dog,” handled by Cathy Schneider of Northwest Canine Resources, and dates it 2 May 2023. Her report and her field map are catalogued on the writings page and the maps page. The Library publishes the fact of the search, its date, its author and the number of photographs, and nothing about where it took place or what it found.

The businesses that built the memorial

Seven folders, one for each firm that gave time, machinery or materials. The creator names them on his sponsors page and photographed their people at work; the third photographic report follows the plaque from the foundry floor to the stone.
