Letitia Carson · Documents

Oregon probate, 1852–1857

The administration of David Carson’s estate in the Probate Court of Benton County, Oregon Territory, from Greenberry Smith’s appointment as administrator in November 1852 to the confirmation of the land sale in 1857: the bond, the inventory and appraisal, the sale bill, the receipts and billings that passed through the administrator’s hands, and his final accounting.

58 files in the creator’s folder , 37 of them carrying his own line of description and 27 of them transcribed.

Filenames are the creator's. Where he numbered the sheets of one document, each sheet is listed on its own line, as he files them. A line in quotation marks is his own description from the 2013 index; the sentence above it is the Library's, written from what the filename says and from the transcription where one exists.
