In their words
Kaster, K-a-s-t-e-r, was president, and he lived up there in that little green house by Lewisburg across from the Grange.
So the Lewisburg Grange was where North Corvallis Farmer's Group Union was located, and the names and phone numbers you got here are kind of the principal characters in preserving the building.
Dated statements about this place
- 1928 — Reading other Soap Creek Valley histories would indicate a road did exist from Lewisburg to Sulphur Springs in 1928-30.
- 1956 — I know the school burned that down in 1956 or something.
- 1989 — We're at the Lewisburg clearcut, at stop 9 on the tour [Soap Creek Valley Auto Tour, Bob Zybach, OSU Research Forests cc: 1989] or stop 10.
